Inspired by “Stribor’s Forest” – one of the stories in the collection of fairy tales “Stories from the past” by Ivana Brlic Mazuranic, Croatia’s most famous fairy tale writer, STRIBOR is one of the four sons of Svarog, an old Slavic deity born of God’s breath. This is from where the villa got it’s name because of the mystique of its surroundings, where lies a beautiful pine forest that gives the place a special atmosphere. The forest creates a micro climate that keeps the surroundings cooler and air refreshing on steamy summer nights, and is bountiful with wild aromatic plants, which, combined with the wonderful scent of resins from the hundreds of pine trees will surely be a delight to everyone’s senses.

Villa Stribor is located in the south of Istria in the village of Banjole. Not far from the villa is the Cape Kamenjak nature reserve in the southernmost tip of the Istrian peninsula. Beautiful stone beaches are located 1 km from the villa. The area provides a refreshing scenery and is perfect for appreciating nature. Near the villa are choices of traditional fish markets, family owned restaurants, and local cafes, and gorgeous beaches. Essentials like convenience stores, supermarkets, gas station, atm’s are all within walking distance. The city of Pula, Istria’s capital and commercial center, is just a 10 min drive away.
